Yes — that's the game that inspired it. Test Match Scoreboard is an independent, fan-made scoring tool; it isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Crown and Andrews or any board game publisher. It works with any table-top or backyard cricket game.
Do people watching the scoreboard need an account?
No. Share the match's 6-character code and anyone can open the live board — go to testmatchscoreboard.com/watch on a TV browser, tablet, or phone in landscape and type it in. It reconnects itself if the Wi-Fi hiccups.
What formats can I score?
Full test cricket (two innings a side, declarations, the follow-on), limited-overs formats with bowler caps, and custom rules: powerplays, free hits, timed matches, indoor cricket scoring.
Can I print the scorecard?
Yes — every match has a print-friendly scorecard with complete batting and bowling figures, extras, and fall of wickets. Print it as a keepsake scoresheet or save a PDF for the folder in the games cupboard.
What does it cost?
It's free while we're in beta: score any standard format, live TV scoreboard, shareable match codes, printable scorecards — with ads on the app pages (never on the scoreboard). An unlock is coming for the extras — custom game rules, saved teams, resuming saved games, fixing any past ball, and removing all ads — at A$8.95 for 12 months. It is not a subscription. One payment buys a fixed term from a small independent developer to keep the servers running: nothing recurs, no card is stored, and no payment is ever taken automatically. When the term is up, the extras switch off unless you choose to buy another.
